How To Successfully Set Up Your First Adwords Campaign

Setting up you first Adwords campaign is always a daunting task. I remember the day that I showed a close friend of mine who is pretty computer literate what I was doing and he looked at it and he was fascinated. So I led him to a few e-books and so forth and showed him how I went about it. So he read up for I told him not to start unless he had set out a plan of action so that he didn't waste his money. So I came back to him over and over again and well'. He still hadn't created his first campaign yet after 3 weeks. Well it all came down to this he didn't want to fail and well we all do once in a while. So here's the plan I set up for him to get him on the right track.

First of all find a product, either an e-book or digital product at first. You could find a good pay per lead program but they are always very competitive. This can be achieved by going to clickbank and joining for free and just browsing around. Try to find a product that fills some sort of need especially if it's some serious disease or disorder. Those sorts of people are more serious and the conversion rate will probably be higher.

Step 2 would involve finding good keywords, now this step is vital and should probably take up most of your time. For if you put the wrong keywords in place then you're just wasting your money. Use Overture's keywords suggestion tool and find keywords that get more than 200 searches and are very focused to your product.

Step 3 would involve writing your ad, now this is also important but there are shortcuts that can be taken here but you still need to check and constantly try and improve your ads though. Now the key here is to make sure you only put very similar keywords in each group for then you can make sure your ad truly relates to the keywords and people will click. When writing your ad, make sure that the keywords and phrases are in the headline so that Google will reward you and highlight that text. The headline should be catchy and well if you want some ideas then you can type your keywords into Google and see what other people typed and use their ideas. The second line should always have benefits written in it and should try to entice the person to read the next line. The third line should be a call to action like 'Don't Hesitate, Get It Today'. Then put your URL in the bottom box. One thing I noticed that works well is to capitalize the first letter of every word in your add and also in your display URL, it just seems to attract more attention.

So I hope you gained something meaning full from this article and will make your first campaign a success.
