Time flies and the resilience, strong eyesight and efficiency to grip a pistol have all been things of the history. However, the courageousness and the memories of being in a war will forever remain in their soul. Our veterans- what happens next after they have laid their lives?
Our country’s veterans have been into various hells in struggling for a cause. Now that they have reached their lives’ turning point, are they are really cared of? Without the strength and the clear vista and memory that has been robbed by their age, these used to be well-equipped and tough service personnel are now waiting for the sun to set silently in their chairs.
The government performs a vital role in the well-being and security of our veterans. Different benefit programs and decrees have been passed to protect their rights and support their primary needs. These benefits also cover the household and dependents of the veterans, of which varies from one state to another.
Such benefits include support on education, assistance on home loans, life insurance as well as regular pay and social security and vocational rehabilitation. The benefits don’t only limit as long as the inactive army is alive, it still continues through rendering burial and funeral benefits, thus giving them a decent and well-merited last commemoration for their incomparable service of their sworn duty.
Aside from the government, there are also numerous civic groups and private organizations that offer privilege programs and benefits to the country’s armed forces. All of these monetary related programs, free and with pay is something that our veterans are thanked for because it is giving them an opportunity to live a better life after the battle. However, that shouldn’t stop us from providing them care and love… everyday.
Life can not be compared to an old and weary pistol that when polished again can immediately regain its efficiency to shot upright. It is not also like time that will unceasingly tick after a 24-hour journey. The life of these people, just like ours is just borrowed from GOD, only their playground is a world of explosion and painful death rows.
Let’s all be reminded of their unwavering service and the generous love of their loved ones. They have been a part of our lives, in one way or another so it is constantly been a good thing to celebrate life with them not just every 11th of November but up to their last days. Give them the priceless attention so they will not be waving their hands with a weary heart when it is time to bid goodbye. |
