Iowa Hawk-Eyeing Floyd of Rosedale Iowa will no doubt have all it can handle against Minnesota and its top ranked ground game on Saturday. But if history is any indication, Ferentz will have his team up to task. After all, Iowa is a staggering 27-5 its past thirty-two at Kinnick Stadium and has held a firm upper hand in this Floyd of Rosedale battle. In fact, the Hawkeyes are an eye-opening 11-1 ATS their past twelve vs. the Gophers, including 6-0 ATS the past six series meetings in Iowa City. No Fighting Chance for the Illini Northwestern was spanked 48-7 at Ohio State last week, but is a resilient 13-4 ATS its past seventeen coming off a loss. This is simply bad news for an Illinois team that is 0-7 SU and 1-6 ATS in Big 10 play this season with the average margin of defeat coming by 34.3 PPG!!! Note also that the visitor is 9-3 ATS the past twelve in this Prairie State rivalry. Blue Raiders now 3-0 ATS on the road this season, while Amatos troops are now a perfect 0-10 ATS their past ten at Carter Finley Stadium. This is not to mention NC States 401K Killing 0-15 ATS record when priced as chalk!!! School of Hard Knocks in Knoxville Even if Commodores unable to end bitter 22-game straight up series losing streak, odds are they will still be marching to the ticket window. After all, Vandy is now 7-1 ATS its last eight as a road pup, including 4-0 ATS in that role this year. Meanwhile, the underachieving Vols are now 2-13 ATS their past fifteen priced as a favorite. This stretch includes a back-breaking 2-10 ATS mark their past twelve as home chalk and 0-5 ATS mark as Knoxville chalk this season. Wazzu a Bad Apple? The underdog has taken the cash in seven of Washington States nine games this season. This is not good news for the Cougars, who are 3-point favorites at rival Washington in this years Apple Cup. The Huskies are in off a 38-14 win at Arizona as a 13-point dog last Saturday and have had the better of this Evergreen State rivalry. Washington has taken home six of the last seven Apple Cups and is 5-0 ATS in the past five meetings. SEC Rivals Iron-Out Differences Auburn is not only the best two-loss team in the nation, but has also been money in conference play with a 12-4 ATS mark its past sixteen vs. SEC foes. But points will be at a premium in this defensive oriented rivalry and that makes Bama the potential side of choice. Note that the dog has covered each of the past five Iron Bowls, while the visitor has covered eight of the past ten between the bitter southern rivals. Ducks Seek Cover If history is any indication, Oregon should grab the win and cover when it plays host to rival Oregon State. After all, the host is now 8-0 SU and 7-1 ATS the past eight Civil War meetings and Ducks havent soon forgotten last years 50-21 roasting in Corvallis. Cal Bears Brunt of Erratic QB The Golden Bears QB Joe the Boob Ayoob tossed four more interceptions against USC last week, which gives him 14 INTs for the year. This erratic play is no doubt a major reason Cal is 0-5 ATS in its past five and may prove giant trouble against the smoke and mirror act of Stanford. The Cardinal has been outgained in six of seven Pac-10 tilts, yet is 6-1 ATS in these games and 6-0 ATS its past six when priced as an underdog. |
