Motivation: Cane or Cani?

Once you are living the life you desire, one of the traps is to get complacent and begin to settle for less. We believe we have arrived and can now coast.

Quite the contrary is true however. Once we reach our goals we need to celebrate and then do even more of what we were doing that got us to our goals.

Let me be direct here - don't do this!

Constant and never-ending improvement

Motivational expert Tony Robbins teaches a concept called CANI, which stand for committing to Constant And Never-ending Improvement.

Based on this notion, the question we need to continually ask ourselves is

"In how many ways can we make this even better?"

This applies to all areas - family life, love relationships, friendship or career.

Constant and never-ending excuses

One of the problems, as I see it, is that instead of committing to constant and never-ending improvement, we tend to fall into the trap of committing to CANE. CANE stands for Constant And Never-Ending Excuses.

Here is the bottom line: once we set out to do something, there can only be one of two outcomes. We either do it or we have excuses why we did not.

You can live a life of constant and never-ending excuses or a life of constant and never-ending improvement.

The choice, as usual, is yours.
