Our love to God arises out of our want
His love to us out of His fullness
Similarly is it in human relationships
When ones heart becomes utterly helpless
For times of turmoil and devastation come
But to God in prayer we must run
Knowing that to each other we cannot fully be
What God intended His Spirit to be
The Comforter within you and me
Because encouragement, understanding, and love
Come first from above.
Then as we listen, learn and yield
Moving defenselessly without shield
Our God will intervene on the battlefield
Within the hidden areas of the heart
Only believe and dont depart!
Then will our love be perfected
Resulting in fearlessness and obedience
Giving no ground to enticements
Only then will affirmation reach its full
And our days become memorable
Only then will complaints cease
And the heart within find release
Forgiveness, sensitivity and sincerity
Produce soulish prosperity
From this wealth
Exudes all other riches
As it mends the fragmented heart with stitches
Restoring faith, adoration, and reverence
Without which there is no divine Presence
Cultivate and protect
Being discerning to detect
Devious words and deeds working havoc
As diamond stones are made with pressure
We Gods jewels are no lesser
If diamonds are a ladys best friend
Similarly must be the heat and pressure needed to make them
All want a pure, flawless jewel
And God is no different
He therefore chastens and cuts
To remove willful sin and defiance
Thereby ensuing obedience and enhancing brilliance
As precious stones are limited in number
So are those who fully give themselves to God
Purposing not to be otherwise encumbered
Or to faint in their latter days due to slumber
Upon endeavoring to continue in humility
Its amazing what God will do for thee
As a never-ending flow of revelation
Helps you clearly see.
I position myself in this frame of mind
As I commit to you
Knowing there is much to be worked through,
Each stage of life being anew
Yet I determine to endure hardship and cherish you
Knowing full well this is what God would have me to do
From henceforth I give my love unflinchingly to you,
Desiring nothing less from you.
