We all know it... We all feel it... We all see it... But DO WE DO IT ?... We all know that there is a universal purpose for each and every one of us to exist on this earth that we call home. But with all of the daily distractions of merely "getting by", we often loose sight of what our divine purpose in life is. Many people have been told that they are the creators of their own destiny, or that they have the power to create real, long lasting change and difference in the world. But if that is true, why is it that so many of us simply give up and settle on the way things are? Why is it that we so often loose sight of our own personal ability to single handedly create the change that our world so needs at this time? Do you believe it is possible; that one person, YOU, CAN make a difference in the world no matter who you are, where you come from, or what youre past experiences in life have been. That it does not matter if you are black or white, rich or poor, single or divorced, That YOU have the power to start the process of CHANGE that can affect the entire world? WOW! What a concept! Let's go a bit deeper, shall we? For a moment, I want you to envision that you have the ability to create the perfect world. What would it look like? How would it feel? How would people relate to each other? What would the perfect world look like, if it were all up to ME? Well thank you for asking! Let me tell you what MY VISION is of that perfect world that I am creating today. I started to think of a utopian society, I began to ponder the possibilities on the road ahead and began to envision a world of unity, harmony, trust, understanding and love. I saw a world free of chaos, strife and destruction. I saw a world free of pain and filled with tolerance and genuine caring. However, just as quickly as I began to see this perfect picture emerge, I quickly returned to my personal mission statement that says that "I am a tender, loving, caring and powerful Child of God" and I began the process of realizing that I CAN make a difference in the world, by shining the light of knowledge and peace throughout the land. While this all sounded perfect, I had to return to reality and began to look at the seriousness of our worldwide situation. I made a decision at that point to continue to maintain the "dream" of the perfect world, but at the same time, to develop a clear and concise picture of exactly where we are and where we can reasonably expect to end up in the next few generations, provided we were all pointed in the right direction. Therefore, I have made the decision that it is absolutely impossible to create a "perfect" world. It is only possible to use the information that you possess and gain on a daily basis to perpetuate the betterment of society. My internal desire to achieve the unachievable must be balanced with realism and a clear understanding and knowledge of exactly what state our world is in TODAY.in the PRESENTin the NOW. I believe that it is our obligation to simply and universally, promote long-term human sustainability. I want to keep us from destroying ourselves and our families through violence and environmental destruction. I want the world to become one, in unison with the universe, as guided by our heavenly father. But, to obtain this goal, we must not only change our governmental laws and policies, but we must also change the way that we, as a society, think. We as mankind must completely reinvent the way in which we think and process. We must simply create a new attitude of being one world body. So, what is this dream that I am speaking of? It is a dream that we all are part of a United Earth as one, where there is absolute, uncontrollable, free movement and free world trade. I clearly can see that it is essential that the world take on the European Free Trade Alliance method of commerce, slowly growing until the entire planet is one engaged in unison. I envision a world where the population growth curve becomes stable. By deciding to flatten the human growth curve, we would at least have a fighting chance at addressing our worst environmental and social ills to avail us. I sincerely believe that the world population explosion is one of the primary root causes in problems ranging from global climate change to international and biological terrorism. I am envisioning a society that has the ability to live sustainable on its own. Rather than harming and stealing irreplaceable commodities from the World, each generation going forward would strive to leave Mother Earth in better shape than they found her, therefore creating lands of opportunity for their offspring. I can envision a human race that lives as one in harmony with nature, rather than constantly trying to destroy and exploit it for short-term financial gain. While these statements may seem truly visionary, they are wrought with challenges on a worldwide scale. The ability to achieve this truly utopian vision will be a great challenge to the next generations to come. The biggest obstacle to achieving this global dream is that the world's economies are based upon the theory that there can be infinite growth. While this is true, this theory must be balanced against the fact that the wonderful Planet that we live on is finite in its resources that can create that desired infinite growth. This ultimately means that we are trying to do the impossible by continuing to grow our world economies at a never ending pace, but at the same time we are expending the exact same irreplaceable resources to achieve this goal. Eventually, such a flawed economic model will uncertainly collapse, which will result in much loss, pain and suffering for millions and millions of the worlds children. For the Earth, the "Absolute Infinite Growth" model is especially bad because as the worlds economies and populations continue to grow, there will be increased worldwide pressure to exploit, rape, and pillage what's left of the natural world we call Mother Earth. Many people in our society say " Screw our children and future generations" "we are entitled to receive everything we can get our hands on right now because we created our own wealth. At the same time there are poor people among us who need jobs, there are people who need and deserve welfare and public assistance and then there are the truly wealthy in the world need private jets, luxurious offices and exclusive yachts. All of this is achieved, but at what cost? Another great challenge to achieve my vision is that our society currently possesses a mass one-sided "ethics" toward life. For example, in the late 1800's we conquered many childhood diseases that were taking our children from our society in droves, all in the name of scientific and medical research. This successful research and its consequential effect is one of the main factors that has sent our world population soaring. Now let's look at the effect of this population increase. Because of the advances in medical science, we are now extending human life expectancy. This is good news, but in reality, all of the "good" that is achieved by these scientific endeavors can and is actually contributing to our demise. As more and more people exploit and deteriorate the environment, the health of the biosphere and the planet decreases. Because of this decrease in atmospheric and planetary health, we are faced with the result that the health of the human race also diminishes. We are then presented with the additional belief that is propagated by the medical community (who is controlled by Wall Street) that believes that they must "cure every ailment" at "all costs". They then begin to pump the world full of medicine and drugs; all in an effort to counteract the asthma, cancer, and all the other diseases related to our polluted and poisoned world that WE HAVE CREATED! Therefore, all of the seemingly modern medical miracles and advances that we as a society have made against cancer and similar sicknesses all are set aside by the fact that we are continuously exposed to all of the MAN MADE toxic agents that were initially created to FIX these problems. And how is that a true reflection of how the world is showing up in an attempt to resolve these issues? Notice that at the exact same time and in the same spirit, the world is adding to the rape, pillage and plundering of humankind, all in the name of scientific and medical "breakthroughs" ? Let me return to my point. There seems to be a lot of is a lot of screaming and demanding about the "sanctity" of life, yet corporate polluters and their minions in our worlds governments make decisions every day that are killing us all. All in the name of the bottom line CASH! Now, lets consider the fact that a females right to choice resulting in an abortion is considered "murder" and a "sin," yet it becomes a newsworthy nightly CNN Live News Update, when a renowned fertility doctor screws up and a woman has premature quintuplets. What is wrong with this picture? Another example: Who is the real sinner in this scenario? Humans whom are in terminal pain and agony who desire to have a small amount of control and dignity during their last days, who decide that it is in their best interests to take their own lives? Or is it the governmental and medical establishments of the world that believe that euthanasia is a "sin," resulting in people then being kept on emergency life support, running up incredible bills, usually at taxpayer expense, at the same time the worlds medical insurance rates are becoming unaffordable for small businesses, single mothers and millions of Citizens. Again, I ask: Who is the real "sinner?" To me, It seems that our relationship with life and death has changed dramatically during the last century, yet our religious and "moral" values have yet to catch up. We now seem to value life at all costs in the short-term, even if that means destroying humanity in the long-term. My final challenge that I believe we face to a sustainable world is the problem with social security. People are living much longer, often kept alive with minions of doctors, hospitals therapists, and handfuls of drugs. As we begin to stabilize our population in the coming years as the baby boom generation begins to fade away, a smaller pool of workers will be supporting a huge group of retired persons. It is apparent to me that this bubble in the growth curve will eventually even out, but in the mean time, we clearly have a lot of work and some very difficult years ahead of us. So the bottom line then becomes, How can I, as an individual, even begin to believe that I can make any type of dent in the problems of the world with the cards so stacked against me? The answer to this question becomes clearer and clearer, as we learn the true power that we all possess as Children of our Heavenly Father. We have all been born and created equal. We all entered the world in the same way. We all have lead different paths in life, but the one thing that every member of the human race can have and does have is a vision of the perfect world. With that vision clearly outlined, a person then is able to become completely determined to achieve this goal, and because of that absolute determination, we can all reach a point where we become the vessel of knowledge to the world. We then begin to realize that we are not powerless and that we can be the giver AND receiver of "the light", thereby creating a life changing "ripple effect" that will influence every nation and corner of the world. For if only one person in our group takes this epidemic on, and becomes a staunch advocate for change, will the world not then be obligated to feel the never ending ripples of unconditional love, positive energy, spiritual giving and an abundance of absolute assurance that they too can make a difference in the sight of their neighbors and friends and loved ones? Absolutely For all one needs to do is to look around and experience the results of one person who has the courage to do what many said could not be done. To take a moral stand and publicly declare that each and every person in the world matters, that each person has the ability to become the cornerstone of change in the world, and to stand for courage through thick and thin, day in and day out; for this person is closer than we all believe, because this person is within each and every one of us, IT IS YOU IT IS ME! This is merely a simple question of whether we are willing to let ourselves stretch outside of that box we call life and truly experience the greatness that life has to offer, so that we can BE the vessel to create the change that this world so absolutely deserves. Now, Are you willing to break out of that box? |
